Part 64 features Zefram Cochrane's experimental Warp Ship, the Phoenix. Launched on April 5, 2063, the Phoenix holds a special place in Federation history as the first warp-capable ship to be built by mankind. It was designed and constructed in the middle of the 21st century by a team of scientists and engineers led by Dr. Zefram Cochrane and Lily Sloane from inside a missile complex in Bozeman, Montana.

The magazine tells the story of this groundbreaking ship, as seen in the movie Star Trek: First Contact, and how John Eaves' design provided a bridge between today with the future.
